Help Us Give Kids a Chance Through Martial Arts

Hi, we’re Chris and Sara Diotte, founders of Mat 2 Mat Foundation.

We started Mat 2 Mat Foundation because we believe something simple but powerful:

Every child deserves someone in their corner.

We have seen firsthand how martial arts can change a person’s life. What happens on the mat goes far beyond learning Jiu-Jitsu or martial arts techniques. Kids learn discipline. They gain confidence. They learn respect, perseverance, accountability, and how to keep going when life gets hard.

But for many families, the cost of martial arts training simply isn’t possible.

We want to change that.

Our mission at Mat 2 Mat Foundation is to empower youth and young adults through martial arts by removing financial barriers, building character, and creating pathways to a better future.

Why We Started Mat 2 Mat

This foundation is incredibly personal to us.

We didn't want to just talk about making a difference, we wanted to build something that could actually create opportunities for kids, young adults, and families.

Sometimes all a young person needs is an opportunity.

An opportunity to walk through the doors of a martial arts academy.

An opportunity to meet a coach who believes in them.

An opportunity to become part of a positive community.

An opportunity to discover that they are capable of more than they ever imagined.

We want Mat 2 Mat Foundation to help provide that opportunity.

Our Goal

Our goal is to build enough ongoing support to raise $10,000 or more per month for Mat 2 Mat Foundation.

These funds will allow us to sponsor more children and young adults, provide equipment and uniforms, support families, host community programs and events, and expand our impact both locally and internationally.

Your support can help provide:

*Martial arts tuition for youth and young adults who need financial assistance

*Gis, uniforms, and training equipment

*Support and resources for families in our communities

*Mentorship and positive role models

*Community events and service opportunities

*International outreach, including supporting our partnered Jiu-Jitsu community and families in Brazil

From Our Community to Brazil

One of our dreams for Mat 2 Mat is to create an impact that reaches beyond our local community.

We are building relationships through martial arts that allow us to help communities internationally, including our partnered Jiu-Jitsu community in Brazil.

We want to provide equipment, resources, supplies, and support while creating opportunities for people from different communities and backgrounds to connect through martial arts.

No matter where the mat is located, every young person deserves the opportunity to belong, grow, and dream bigger.

This Is Only the Beginning

We are building Mat 2 Mat Foundation one child, one family, one partnership, and one opportunity at a time.

And we can't do it alone.

Whether you give $10, $25, $50, $100, $250, or more, you become part of this mission.

A donation may help pay for someone's training.

It may help purchase their first gi.

It may help a family who couldn't otherwise afford to keep their child involved.

And most importantly, it may give a young person a place where they feel supported, challenged, encouraged, and believed in.

Help Us Reach $10,000 or more Month

We know $10,000 every month is a big goal.

But we also know what can happen when a community comes together.

Imagine the impact of 100 people giving $100 or businesses and community members choosing to sponsor this mission monthly.

Together, we can create something much bigger than either of us could create alone.

If you are able to donate, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

If you can't donate right now, please consider sharing our story. A share could put Mat 2 Mat Foundation in front of the person or business that wants to help us change a child's life.

This isn't just about martial arts.

It's about giving kids opportunities.

It's about building confidence.

It's about mentorship.

It's about community.

It's about giving the next generation people who believe in them.

From our family to yours, thank you for believing in what we're building.

This is only the beginning.

With gratitude,

Chris & Sara Diotte
