For more than four decades, WAMC has delivered independent, fact-based journalism to about 500,000 listeners each month across parts of seven states, from rural towns to regional cities.

Today, local newspapers are closing, misinformation is spreading, and many rural communities have little or no local reporting. WAMC has also lost its federal funding through the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.

Because of our listener-supported model, we remain strong. And we’re building for the next generation of listeners, with new digital tools, a stronger online presence, and new podcasts that bring our journalism wherever people are.

More than 20,000 members already power WAMC. Your support keeps trusted local public media strong for the communities we serve today and for generations to come.

We invite you to join us in this investment.
