ZazaFest is a multi-site gathering honoring the life, artistry, and spirit of Diana “Zaza” Oh, envisioned for June 18, 20th and 21st, marking the one year anniversary of Diana’s devastating passing.

This weekend brings together close friends, collaborators, birth and chosen family, and the wider New York artistic community to be with one another in grief, in celebration, and in remembering Zaza and the enduring impact of their work and spirit.

ZazaFest is a space to hold each other through an incredibly difficult time, and to ensure that Zaza’s legacy continues to live, move, and resonate within our communities.

The Weekend

Lullabies for Zaza - June 18, Doors at 9 PM at Joe’s Pub - TICKETED
This the only ticketed* performance of ZazaFest. Join us as we gather, honor, and remember Zaza together in music and song.

Into the Zazaverse - Retrospective Screenings & Reunions - June 20, 2 PM at The Bushwick Starr - FREE EVENT
Screenings of the scope of Zaza’s work, from the installations of my lingerie play and Clairvoyance, to never before seen footage, with Zaza's collaborators sharing stories of that time.

Infinite Love Art Chirch - June 21 at 5 PM at Judson Memorial Church - FREE EVENT
Through the prism of Diana Zaza Oh’s Infinite Love Party and Art Chirch, the Infinite Love Art Chirch at Judson Memorial Church invites community members into a softly held space to embody Diana’s words, love of glitter, and embrace of shared ritual, as pieced together by those who loved them across their lifetime.

June 18th at Joe's Pub is the only event that will be ticketed. All other events are free to attend. See below for more information.

Why We Fundraise

ZazaFest emerges from a year of informal gatherings among friends and family of Diana, held in grief, care, and collective imagination. This weekend is an extension of that process: a way of coming together publicly to remember Zaza, and to support one another as we continue to carry their presence forward.

This fundraiser is an invitation to share in that care and love that Zaza seeded in all of us.

This fundraiser also supports the ongoing stewardship of Zaza’s archive, including publishing their written work and maintaining their digital presence, so their art remains accessible to both their community and future audiences.

There are many organizers working towards this vision who are volunteering our efforts. We know that the dire financial situation that Zaza was in is also shared by many of their community and loved ones as freelance performers and artists.

Your support helps make it possible for us to gather with intention, to create spaces that are resourced, held, and accessible to the people who need them most. It allows us to support not only the artists and collaborators shaping the weekend, but also the labor of care, coordination, and accessibility that makes this all possible.

Your contribution helps sustain the full scope of the weekend, including:

Covering production, materials, and documentation to hold and extend Zaza’s legacy into the future
Supporting the artists, collaborators, and community members who are carrying this work forward
Resourcing access, care, and coordination so more people can be present and participate
Providing meals, gathering spaces, and shared infrastructure for the community
