For over 40 years, BALIF has been the heart of LGBTQ+ legal advocacy in the Bay Area — mentoring queer law students, uplifting LGBTQ+ attorneys, and fighting for representation in the judiciary and beyond.

Today, BALIF is facing a serious funding shortfall. Like many nonprofits right now, we experienced a significant decrease in memberships and donations. Without immediate support, we may be forced to significantly scale back critical programs. But with your help, we can not only sustain our work — we can expand it.

We’re calling on you — our members, allies, and champions — to help us raise $30,000 in the next 30 days to keep our mission going strong. Your donation helps us:

Support LGBTQ+ law students with scholarships and mentorship
Host career-building programs for LGBTQ+ attorneys
Advocate for LGBTQ+ representation in the courts and public service
Fight discrimination wherever it arises — in the law and beyond
