DiscoverU connects high school students from underserved campuses to career-aligned, out-of-school programs that build real-world skills, college readiness, and workforce confidence.

Most of these students wouldn’t find—or gain acceptance into—these life-changing opportunities on their own. With counselor caseloads averaging over 400 to 1, and more than 30 Houston campuses with no counselor at all, students in under-resourced schools are often left to navigate their futures alone.

That’s where DiscoverU steps in.

Our advisors become the support system many students don’t have at school—or at home. Through wraparound services like one-on-one advising, program matching, application and essay support, and family engagement, we help students—many of whom are the first in their families to pursue college or a professional career—take their next step with confidence. We have been serving students successfully since 2007. Help us continue to close the opportunity gap in Houston!
