Every organization’s legacy starts with a choice. The Sustainable Business Council began 20 years ago with a small group of committed professionals who shared a mission: to accelerate the integration of sustainability into business operations and strategy. Two decades later, that mission remains strong as we have supported over 400 Wisconsin businesses. Yet our current resources limit our ability to make significant technology investments, advance membership benefits, scale programs, and reach new organizations. Now, we are asking for your help to ensure the SBC continues thriving through every season.

That is why we are proud to announce the Sustaining Legends Fund, which gives every supporter a direct way to keep our mission strong all year long. Whether you become a Supporter, Partner, Steward, or Legend - or make a one-time Heritage Gift - your generosity helps preserve what matters, honor the professionals who came before us, and build what comes next.

Because every commitment can help carry this work forward, the Sustaining Legends Fund offers a meaningful place for every donor in the SBC giving community. Supporters provide steady generosity. Partners stand with us throughout the year. Stewards help protect and strengthen the mission for the future. Legends lead with transformational commitment.

If you prefer to make a one-time gift in a special amount, a one-time Heritage Gift is a powerful way to honor a person, milestone, memory, or how your story connects to our mission. However you choose to give, your generosity becomes part of a legacy that lasts.

We are especially honored to launch our donation-matching campaign leading up to our Annual Conference this November 2026. Your gift will be generously matched by SBC member Paul Van De Sand up to $7,500. As we approach the holiday season, and the spirit of giving thanks and Giving Tuesday, we hope can help us reach our goal!

Give today: Honor the Past. Fuel the Future.
