Earlier this year, our community gathered in the fields of the Coachella Valley for our Small Farmers Tour.

Together, we walked alongside local farmers, saw fresh produce being harvested, and experienced firsthand the care, dedication, and hard work that goes into growing food right here in our valley.

It was a powerful reminder of what makes our work possible. From the moment produce is harvested, time matters.

In our desert climate, the freshness and quality of that produce depends on how quickly it can be cooled and prepared for distribution. As Hidden Harvest’s Small Farmers Program continues to grow, so does the volume of food we are able to share—and the responsibility to ensure that every harvest reaches its full potential.

🌱 The Next Step

Thanks to your support, Hidden Harvest raised $8,000 last year to strengthen our Small Farmers Program. That investment helped us expand partnerships with local farmers and increase the amount of fresh produce we are able to distribute to our community.

Now, we are taking the next step.

Over the next few weeks, we are raising $10,000 to build a portable pre-cooling system within our existing cooler space. This system will allow us to rapidly cool freshly harvested produce and extend its life up to three times longer.

This is not about fixing a problem—it is about preparing for growth.

It ensures that as we expand, we are doing so thoughtfully, efficiently, and with the highest level of care for the food we distribute and the farmers we support.
