The Sexual Violence Prevention Association (SVPA) is a nonprofit dedicated to preventing sexual violence systemically. Our advocacy, resources, and institutional actions are proven to prevent sexual violence. But we need your help. You can see highlights of our work below. Take It Down Act

In May, our bill, the TAKE IT DOWN Act, was signed into law. This federal legislation will prevent digital sexual violence by holding platforms accountable for removing deepfake and revenge pornography.

SORVO Palestine Report

In September, we published our report revealing how Israel uses sexual violence and propaganda to justify genocide. Specifically, Israel fabricates claims that Palestinians perpetrate high rates of sexual violence while erasing evidence of their own abuses.

Epstein Survivor Transparency Demands

In September, we joined survivors and congress members at the Capitol demanding the full release of all files related to Jeffery Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. We also released a statement and hosted several meetings with key legislators.

The Issue

Our work is proven to prevent sexual violence. Unfortunately, sexual violence is skyrocketing. The USSC recorded a 62.5% rise between 2020 and 2024, bringing rates higher than they were pre-COVID.

Inflammatory rhetoric, emboldened high-profile rapists, and increasing sexism, racism, homophobia, and transphobia are all contributing to this issue. Even worse, President Trump has significantly cut funding for sexual violence services and survivor resources.

We have not been spared by these cuts. Further, due to our outspoken support of Palestine, trans+ people, and immigrants, we have been targeted with additional grant cuts. Significant loss of funding, paired with increased need, has put us in a dire position.
