What Is the SYC Financial Aid Fund?

At SYC Soccer, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to play — regardless of financial circumstances. Our Financial Aid Fund exists to ensure that family finances are never a barrier to participation. Each year, we provide significant scholarship support to players across our Recreation and Travel programs so they can train, compete, and grow within our community.

Why Contribute to the Fund?

Critical Support for Families

Financial aid enables dozens of SYC families each season to participate in soccer who otherwise could not. In our Recreation Program, assistance often covers full registration fees for players needing support. In our Travel Program, aid is awarded on a sliding scale — covering 20% to 100% of club fees — helping families manage annual costs that typically range from $2,500–$3,000 per player.

Growing Demand

As SYC continues to grow and reach more families, the demand for financial assistance increases each year. For the 2025–2026 season, we are already on pace to provide over 150 scholarship awards totaling more than $150,000 for travel players alone, representing a significant year-over-year increase. When recreation assistance is included, total annual scholarship needs approach $200,000.

How You Can Help

Donate Today

Our Giving Tuesday goal is to raise $15,000 by December 31 to directly support player scholarships. Every gift — large or small — makes an immediate impact by helping a child get on the field.

Spread the Word

Share our mission with family, friends, and teammates. If every SYC family gave just $15 per player, we would reach our goal together.

Get Involved

Advocating for SYC and our Financial Aid Fund strengthens our ability to serve more players and families each year. Your voice matters.
