"Gingerbread Dreams: A Sweet Showcase of Community Creativity"

In collaboration with the Downtown Business Association (DBA) and MAGEC, the California Center for the Arts, Escondido will host a festive Gingerbread House-Making Competition from November 1 to December 13. This competition will foster local engagement, spark creativity, and encourage foot traffic to participating locations. Community members and businesses will create edible masterpieces, share their creations with the public, and compete for the coveted title of “Gingerbread Champion of Escondido 2025.”

🎄 Rules for Participation

Open to organizations and businesses in Escondido
All visible elements must be edible (yes, even the disco ball if it’s candy!). NO HOT GLUE ALLOWED
All entries due by November 21st at 4pm SHARP
By entering, participants agree to have their creations featured on social media and in promotional materials

🗳️ Voting System

Public Voting:

Voting will be hosted via a Google Form or embedded platform on the Center’s website
Each person may vote once per email address
Gingerbread Houses will be listed with a number

🏆 Prize

Most Local:
$50 gift card + a gift basket filled with all participating businesses + certificate
Most Festive:
$50 gift card + ribboned certificate
Most Creative:
$50 gift card + ribboned certificate
