Thank you for registering for Taʿāruf: Foundations of Tadabbur — Awakening the Heart Through the Qur’an. We’re truly grateful that you’ve chosen to begin this journey with the Glass Lamp Institute.

Your decision to enroll reflects an intention to slow down, listen more deeply, and encounter the Qur’an in a way that is sincere, personal, and alive. Taʿāruf is the doorway into Tadabbur al-Qur’an—where the journey of awareness begins.

In this course, the Qur’an is not approached as a text to move through, but as a living companion—one that meets you where you are and gently introduces you to yourself. Through guided reflection, you’ll begin to recognize your inner landscape—emotions, patterns, spiritual blocks, and unrealized capacities—through a Qur’anic lens.

Taʿāruf establishes a foundational truth: the Qur’an is not merely read; it reads you. Through it, you are invited into deeper awareness, sincerity, and presence with Allah. These qualities become the foundation for the next stages of the journey—Taʿāluf (heart harmony) and Taʿāwun (collective impact).

What to Expect

Dates: Mondays, September 14 – December 7, 2026
Schedule: Mondays, 10:00–11:30 AM EST (Live on Zoom)
Format: Weekly online modules + live sessions
Instructor: Dr. Zainab Alwani

Throughout Taʿāruf, you will:

1. Engage the Qur’an in a deeply personal and reflective way

2. Develop awareness of the heart—its patterns, emotions, and obstacles

3. Cultivate presence, sincerity, and attentiveness

4. Begin forming meaningful connections with others on the journey

No prior experience is required—Taʿāruf is designed as a true beginning, exactly as you are.

A Note on Tuition & Installments

Tuition for Taʿāruf is $250, with flexible payment options:

* One-time payment of $250, or

* 4 installments of $62.50

If you selected installments:

Payments are not automatic. Each installment must be completed manually. All payments must be completed by the end of the semester
