Tantz Hoyz (טאַנץ הױז)

Join us on Saturday, November 7th at the Pico Union Project for a live Klezmer Swing concert by Di Svingers followed by a festive Yiddish Dance ball!

The Jewish Movement Collective and Kultur Mercado with their partners are bringing community together from across Southern California for a celebration of Klezmer music, dance, and living Yiddish culture.

Tantz hoyz (טאַנץ הױז), literally means "dance house" in Yiddish and is a joyful, interactive dance experience with live Klezmer music. Dancing will be led by Amie Segal of Jewish Movement Collective. The dancing is open to all and accessible, no previous dance experience is necessary. Whether you’re a hora wizard, have never danced traditional Yiddish dance before, or simply want to enjoy the music, all are welcome.

Build the Future of Yiddish Culture in Los Angeles!

A portion of proceeds from the evening will support the launch of the Yiddish Culture Fund, a new effort to create additional resources for Yiddish cultural life in Southern California. The fund will help support events, artists, cultural projects, and new opportunities to make and experience Yiddish culture locally.

Every ticket helps us put more music in the room, more dancers on the floor, and more resources behind the people creating Yiddish culture today.

Kumt tantzn! Come dance!
