Tashbar Sephardic Yeshiva Ketana is home to 320+ amazing students who meet and exceed the highest academic standards while upholding our sacred Sephardic minhagim.

We can proudly say that in our 40 year history, we have admitted every appropriate student, regardless of their ability to pay for Tashbar's fantastic dual curriculum education. We view every Jewish neshama as an entire world with limitless potential. We could never let funding get in the way of giving a child the greatest gift possible – a connection to Hashem and the ability to live a meaningful life guided by His Torah haKedosha.

Just like every other Jewish day school in town, our yearly deficit is well over a million dollars. We also happen to be in the middle of a massive construction project, building a beautiful new campus that we will be moving into at some point in the next school year bzH. This year, we are working to raise $260,000 to help cover some of the costs of our scholarship fund.

To every donor, thank you for opening your hearts, and enjoining with ours! As Rashi notes, when the Jewish people arrived at Har Sinai, they encamped "כאיש אחד בלב אחד" – like one person, with one heart. It was a beautiful display of national unity, and a prerequisite for receiving the Torah.

Tashbar has served the Jewish community of Los Angeles since 1987. Founded to primarily serve the children of Iranian refugees, Tashbar has grown immensely, both in enrollment numbers and in its mission to provide a yeshiva for the full spectrum of the Sephardic Torah community of Los Angeles. Our graduates move on to the finest yeshivot and schools of our community, and are recognized for their Yirat Shamayim and Middot Tovot, sincerity in Avodat Hashem, high level academic knowledge in Judaic and General Studies, self-confidence, and a “can-do” positive attitude.
