I started a theatre company.

More accurately, I built an independent theatre label with a team of exceptional local artists. Tattered Remnants is preparing for its inaugural season in Broward County and greater South Florida. Right now, we are executing the foundational groundwork that comes with starting from zero: ensuring the community knows we exist.

For the next 21 days, we are raising $2,000 for our initial marketing and operations fund.

Think of this as getting our first record pressed and into the right hands. High-caliber work only matters if people can find it. This capital gives us the resources to announce our productions, build an audience from scratch, and push our reach far outside the circle of friends and family who already back us.

We are keeping this a small-dollar campaign on purpose.

The model we take from independent labels like Merge and Simple Machines is simple: start with what you have, put modest resources behind the first release, build direct relationships with the people who care about the work, and let that momentum make the next thing possible. We prefer that model. We would rather have forty people put $25 or $50 behind this company because they want it to exist than spend our time chasing a single wealthy donor to bankroll the entire operation.*

The people who back us during these first 21 days become members of The First Pressing Society.

You cannot join this group later. It is not a corporate donor tier or a commercial membership package. It isn’t a rewards program, either. Once you’re in, you’re in for life — whether you put $2 behind us or $200. It simply means you backed the Remnants when there was nothing here yet except the work, our baseline standards, and a shared belief that this company needed to exist.

As we grow, members of The First Pressing Society will get early access to limited-capacity community events, collaborative beer dinners, and alternative releases along the way.

Our goal is $2,000 in 21 days.
