Mission & Mingle is more than a gathering. It’s an invitation to step into the story of a child whose life is being shaped by consistency, care, and opportunity.

When you invest in the life of a child through I Would Rather Be Reading, you’re helping provide safe after-school spaces, trusted adult mentors, literacy tutoring, and enrichment experiences that build confidence far beyond the classroom. Your investment creates stability. It creates belonging. And it opens doors that many children wouldn’t otherwise have access to.

This quarterly Mission & Mingle is intentionally designed to be personal. With a limited number of guests, the evening allows space to connect, ask questions, and better understand how individual investment directly impacts a child’s day-to-day life.

6:00–7:00 p.m., Enjoy light bites, drinks, and conversation with board members, committee members, and IWRBR leadership.

7:00–7:30 p.m. - Guests will be seated for a short informational session where we’ll share how individual support shows up in real ways for the children and families we serve.

7:30 - 8:00 p.m. - Q & A Networking

Our first Mission & Mingle will be hosted at the Omni Residences Clubhouse, providing a welcoming space to gather, listen, and reflect on the impact being made when a community comes together around a child.

This evening is about understanding what’s possible when someone chooses to invest in a child’s future and seeing how that choice can change a life.
