The joy a child experiences when they are able to operate a toy by themselves for the first time.

The sense of belonging experienced by a child when they are able to communicate their thoughts and be understood by those around them.

We believe that all children deserve these experiences and more. Fundamental to our mission is providing access to services. At TCS, we believe that part of this means to provide access to augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices and programs, age-appropriate toys that can be operated by children with all levels of motor skills, adaptive feeding equipment, and more. We strive every day to provide our clients with the opportunity to develop autonomy and independence while respecting differences. Assistive technology, from simple to complex, provides our therapists with many ways to break through barriers to promote access to essential daily activities.

However, as a nonprofit organization serving children, 85% of whom have medical assistance, our insurance reimbursement rates simply do not allow room in the budget to purchase these often expensive pieces of technology.

ALL items purchased with funds raised as part of this campaign will be posted on our Facebook page and website (www.patcs.com) so that you can see exactly how each donated dollar is used. 100% of funds raised in this campaign will go DIRECTLY to purchasing various forms of assistive technology to enhance the quality of our PT, OT, and SLP services for children. Our entire fundraising goal will allow us to purchase 3 iPads and outfit them with several AAC and OT apps for use in sessions, as well as a variety of toys and adaptive switches for increased access.
