Her name is Teagan. Her fight became a movement.

Teagan is 12. She was born with challenges most of us will never face, and she has met every one of them with a tenacity that leaves you speechless. She is nonverbal, but she found another way. She tells her mom "more" and "want" through an eye-gaze device. She was told she might never walk. Last spring she stepped forward in her yellow gait trainer at Beep Baseball. She graduated from her trach. She has a very big, very scary spinal surgery ahead. She will meet it the only way she knows how. Tenaciously.

Her story is why Teagan's Crown exists. And her story is not rare. Thousands of families raising kids with special needs face costs the world never sees. A single gait trainer or communication device can cost as much as a car. Therapy runs for years. Insurance says no as often as yes.
