More Than Miles

In a time where the world is such a dark place, I choose to be a source of light. A small glimmer of hope. Access to mental health care has always been complicated (as I have experienced it first hand) and in today’s current political climate, seems even more abysmal. The removal of gender affirming care, trauma from immigration crisis, amongst many other things, will cause a significant need for more mental health resources for the community when there is already a significant shortage and barriers to access. I am running the iconic Western States 100 for many reasons but amongst those being to advocate and fundraiser for access to mental health care. These funds will directly be used to fund therapy for someone in need. A very tangible way to make a big impact in someone’s life. We could save a life.
