Join Me in Supporting the CdLS Foundation at the 2025 Chicago Marathon
Over the past five years, my dear friend Ava Frank has taught me some of life's most profound lessons: to care deeply for others, to lend a helping hand, and to make the invisible visible. Through Ava, I’ve had the privilege of getting to know her daughter, Tanaya, who lives with Cornelia de Lange Syndrome (CdLS). Their story—and the stories of others affected by CdLS—has deeply inspired me.
In October 2024, I stood on the sidelines of the Chicago Marathon and witnessed the extraordinary spirit of Team CdLS as they ran to support this vital cause. The excitement, dedication, and love they radiated left a unforgettable impression on me.
Now, it’s my turn to carry that spirit forward. I am running the 2025 Chicago Marathon for Tanaya and for all individuals with CdLS. This is my chance to put into practice the lessons I’ve learned from Ava and Tanaya: to help others and to shine a light on the challenges and achievements of those living with this rare genetic condition.
The CdLS Foundation plays a critical role in supporting families and professionals by providing resources, distributing informative publications, and facilitating connections with experts who lend their knowledge and care to those affected by CdLS.
I couldn’t be prouder to join Team CdLS and experience the excitement I once admired from the sidelines. But I can’t do this alone. I need your support to help make a difference.
Together, we can raise awareness and vital funds for the CdLS Foundation, ensuring that families receive the resources and support they need. Every step I take will be for those who inspire us with their strength and resilience.
Thank you for joining me on this journey. Let’s make every step count!
