While millions of Bay Area households stay connected seamlessly, thousands of local students, families, and job seekers remain cut off from the modern economy simply because they lack a reliable computer, affordable internet, or technical support in their primary language. At Tech Exchange, we believe true digital equity requires a complete solution.

When you see a student unboxing a refurbished computer or a parent learning to navigate online banking for the first time, you are seeing the result of a complex, dedicated operational engine. Behind every device distributed and every class taught is Tech Exchange's operational core: our refurbishment, certified IT staff, multilingual call centers, transportation logistics, and community outreach teams across Alameda, Contra Costa, San Francisco, Santa Clara, and San Mateo Counties. Our General Fund is the fuel that keeps this engine running.

While program-specific grants help fund individual projects, General Fund contributions give Tech Exchange the agility to respond where our community needs us most.

Your unrestricted support directly funds:

Warehouse Refurbishment Operations: Keeping our primary warehouse facility equipped with industrial wiping software, testing gear, and replacement parts to refurbish thousands of donated devices safely each year.
Living Wages for Local Technicians: Supporting competitive pay for our local workforce interns and technician staff who work inside our warehouse and serve their own neighborhoods.
Helpline Infrastructure: Maintaining phone lines, routing software, and technical tools for our free multilingual support team (Spanish, Cantonese, Mam, English).
Warehouse Intake & Regional Logistics: Fueling vehicles, pallet jacks, and storage space to transport, sort, and process equipment across our expanding network of TecHubs in SF, San Mateo, Oakland, and beyond.
Community Innovation: Allowing us to rapidly adapt to emergent needs—like launching new digital literacy modules or expanding low-cost internet sign-up events.

Whether you give $10 or $1,000, your tax-deductible gift ensures that every Bay Area household has the tools, skills, and support needed to thrive in 2027 and beyond. Join us in connecting the Bay Area—one household, one career, and one community at a time.
