Nubbins needs your help!

Our beloved terrapin turtle was rescued from the Eastern Shore in 2016, and is estimated to be 18-19 years old. We'd like to significantly upgrade her tank, but we need your help! Her new tank would be approximately 6 feet long, 3 feet tall, and 2-3 feet wide. We also need funding to build a new stand and the tank insert.

An anonymous generous donor has pledged to match donations dollar for dollar up to $500! That means with $500 in donations we can reach our goal of $1,000!

Glen Echo Park Aquarium (GEPA) is a Chesapeake Bay Discovery Center, which opened on September 17, 2015, with a mission to promote awareness of the Chesapeake Bay watershed through education. At GEPA, we teach interactively about the animals we exhibit and their habitats, encouraging stewardship and conservation.

Note: Your donation will be received by Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts and Culture, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and transferred to Glen Echo Park Aquarium.
