We experienced the devastating death of our middle child, Owen, in 2015 after a "textbook" perfect pregnancy. After 5 years of searching for an answer, we finally discovered the cause of his death was cord compressions. His death could have been prevented with a higher level of care that would have included monitoring of the cord throughout the pregnancy.
We want all families to have a fighting chance to bring their babies home, so we are fundraising to educate providers about this and other ways that stillbirth can be prevented. Not 1 more preventable death! No more complacency.
