In New York City, a tennis court can be one of the most exclusive places in the world or one of the most transformative. The difference is access.

For most of the young people we serve, a private lesson, a club membership, or a reserved court was never an option. Tennis was something they watched from a distance a sport that seemed designed for someone else, somewhere else. The Village League exists to change that story permanently.

The Court Fund covers the permits, equipment, rackets, and supplies that put our young people on the court and keep them there. For six weeks every summer, across New York City, we create spaces where a 7-year-old picks up a racket for the first time and a 17-year-old refines a serve she's been building for years. Where the court stops being a luxury and starts being a launchpad.

But access is not just about showing up. It's about having the right equipment in hand, a properly permitted space to play, and the resources to maintain the quality of the experience from the first session to the last. Without The Court Fund, none of that is possible.

Tennis is the entry point. The court is where the transformation begins. And every young person in our program deserves to stand on one.
