Glow Up Git Down 2026

Get ready for one of the most joyful nights of the summer.

Glow Up Git Down is Foundation Music School’s family-centered community celebration: a night of music, dancing, food, storytelling, and connection set against the backdrop of the beautiful Zuellig Family Farm in North Fort Collins. What began as a neighborhood gathering has quickly grown into a one-of-a-kind event bringing together families, artists, educators, and supporters from across Northern Colorado.

This year’s celebration features a community square dance led by musician and historian Bob Zuellig and a band of acclaimed old-time musicians, family activities and scavenger hunts, a live auction supporting Foundation Music School programs, and the return of the breathtaking hot air balloon glow at dusk.

Bob’s work as both a musician and educator explores the many cultural streams that shaped old-time music in America. The hands that carried fiddles, banjos, songs, and dances across generations reflect many races, regions, and diasporas. That spirit shapes the event itself: participatory, welcoming, intergenerational, and rooted in the belief that community is something we create together.

Glow Up Git Down supports Foundation Music School’s outreach, music therapy, and access programs serving children and families across Northern Colorado. Through initiatives like PlayItForward, Project Tumbleweed, family music, and board-certified music therapy, FMS works alongside trusted community partners to bring creative and therapeutic resources directly into schools, neighborhoods, and communities where access is often limited by geography, transportation, disability, language, or cost.

Whether you come for the dancing, the music, the balloon glow, or simply the chance to gather with good people under a summer sky, we hope you leave feeling a little more connected—to your neighbors, your family, and the kind of community we’re all trying to build together.
