Continue the Legacy of Jordan Heywood Parrish

Some people leave behind memories.

Others leave behind momentum.

Jordan Heywood Parrish was one of those people.

Jordan was the kind of man who could challenge your ideas without ever questioning your worth. Friends remember long conversations that stretched late into the night—debating politics, religion, philosophy, and life—not to win arguments, but to better understand one another.

He stood firmly in his convictions while respecting differing perspectives.

He was thoughtful.
He was authentic.
He was intelligent.
He was funny.
He was fiercely loyal.

Above all else, he made people feel seen.

Whether you knew him as a husband, father, son, brother, classmate, mentor, teacher, fellow gamer, or friend, one thing becomes unmistakably clear when listening to those who loved him:

Jordan left people better than he found them.

A graduate of Central Penn College’s Criminal Justice program, Jordan believed education wasn’t simply about earning a degree. It was about learning how to think critically, serve others with integrity, and engage with the world with both conviction and compassion.

Those values deserve to live on.

Our goal is to establish a lasting scholarship that will forever remind students that education is not only about achievement—it is about character, compassion, respectful dialogue, and leaving the world better than you found it.
This memorial scholarship has been established to honor Jordan’s life by investing in future Central Penn College students who share those same qualities—students who lead with character, pursue knowledge, respect differing perspectives, and strive to make a positive impact in their communities.

Every contribution, regardless of size, becomes part of Jordan’s continuing story.

While we cannot change the loss his family, friends, classmates, and community continue to feel, together we can ensure his influence continues to shape future generations.

His legacy doesn’t end here.

It continues through every student encouraged by this scholarship.

Thank you for helping us honor Jordan’s life and carry his legacy forward.
