What if the next food business success story starts right here?

Every great food business starts the same way: with a dream, a recipe, and someone willing to believe in it. Somewhere in Dayton right now, there is a baker perfecting her cake at midnight, a caterer cooking out of a home kitchen, and a sauce-maker with a recipe everyone raves about. What they are missing is not talent. It is access to a licensed commercial kitchen, a community, and a chance.

That is why we built the 6888 Kitchen Incubator.

Three women with a shared vision came together in 2019 to make room for food entrepreneurs in our city. By God's grace, that vision grew into Dayton's only dedicated food business incubator, now open inside the historic Dayton Arcade. We are named in honor of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, the Black women who got the job done when no one else would. Their spirit is ours: Service Before Self. Collaboration Over Competition. Lift As You Climb.

What your support has already built

$720,000 in combined revenue earned by our member businesses
39 jobs created
100+ people served
A growing Catering Collective that connects our members to real catering clients

(Figures from our 2025 Annual Report.)

What comes next

Phase II construction is underway. Our first floor is becoming two private kitchen pods, a community and catering kitchen, and a retail storefront, so more founders can cook, grow, and sell. We are also launching the 6888 Food Founder Access Fund to help new entrepreneurs cover their kitchen start-up costs and walk through the door.

Your gift opens that door.

Our goal is $15,000 by December 31. Every dollar goes toward helping the next food entrepreneur start, grow, and succeed in Dayton. A gift of any size matters, and a monthly gift keeps a dream funded all year long.

We give God thanks for what He has already done through this community, and we are trusting Him for what is next. Will you help us write the next success story?

With love and purpose,

Dabriah Rice
