For decades, the Redwood City/San Mateo County Christmas Toy & Book Drive has brought the community together to make the holiday season brighter for local children and families. Through a partnership between public safety agencies, community organizations, and dedicated volunteers, this cherished tradition ensures that hundreds of families experience the joy of the holidays.

Last year alone, more than 130 local businesses helped fill over 150 donation barrels, providing toys and books to more than 800 families in need. With the support of volunteers and community partners, these gifts are distributed to families throughout Redwood City and San Mateo County, helping create meaningful holiday memories.

While toy donations are always appreciated, monetary contributions make an even greater impact. Financial donations allow organizers to purchase gifts for children of all ages, fill gaps in donations, and ensure every child receives a meaningful holiday gift. Every dollar donated stays local and directly supports families in our community.

Together, we can continue this beloved tradition and help make the holidays a little brighter for every child.
