At The Village League, we know that athletic skill alone is not enough. The young people we serve are navigating real pressures — at home, in school, and in their communities. That's why every session we run includes an intentional social-emotional learning moment. Not as an add-on. Not as a checkbox. As a core part of who we are.

The Whole Child Fund supports the curriculum materials, wellness supplies, and facilitation resources that make this possible — for 50 to 100 young people over six weeks of summer programming. It funds the journals where a 10-year-old writes about what courage means to her. The conversation circles where a teenager learns to name what he's feeling for the first time. The tools that help our coaches create space for growth that goes far beyond the baseline.

A child who learns to regulate their emotions, advocate for themselves, and show up with confidence doesn't just become a better tennis player. They become a better student, a better friend, and eventually a better leader.
