Endorse the Five Principles

Portland does not lack compassion, and it does not lack money. What it lacks is one plan that everyone follows, and someone accountable for the result.

The Five Principles are that plan. They set out a human first, outcomes driven approach to homelessness in Multnomah County:

Unified leadership.
Effective outreach.
Treat the whole person.
Prevent homelessness.
Protect the commons.

Compassion and accountability are not opposites. They are partners.

This campaign runs on endorsements. Every organization, business, congregation, and neighbor who signs on adds weight to a demand our leaders cannot ignore. Building that coalition takes work, and that work is what your gift pays for.

Your donation funds:

Pins, posters, printed materials, and the campaign website, so people can see who stands behind the Five Principles and add their own name.
Social Media campaign & active communication
Organizing. The meetings, the briefings, and the staff time it takes to bring new organizations on board and put the Five Principles in front of the people who make decisions in this county.

$25 sends pins and posters to a new endorsing organization. $100 covers materials for a neighborhood. $500 supports a week of organizing.
