We released our first feature-length film!

In September, released our first film, "The Negro Artist." Check out some images from the film below. We're trying to show it in theaters across the nation.

The Iowa-centric documentary follows the story of Caleb Rainey, a spoken word poet with artistic roots in eastern Iowa. His poetry and community service efforts are bolstering the arts across the state of Iowa. We need your help with the associated costs.

Our mission to uplift Black entrepreneurs

The Seven Times is traveling to local Black-owned businesses and telling their stories. All of the business owners detail their triumphs and trials. We're looking to expand our reach even further to highlight local Black entrepreneurs in every corner of the United States.

The Seven Times is a mission driven platform with no political or religious ties. We are self-funded. We do not charge any of the Black businesses that we highlight, and we will continue to tell those stories free of charge. Nearly 60% of Black adults say supporting Black-owned businesses is an extremely or very effective strategy for moving Black people toward equality in the United States, according to the Pew Research Center.

There are around three million Black-owned businesses in the country. An Intuit QuickBooks report says that tt costs Black entrepreneurs $5,000 more to start a business than their non-Black peers. More than half of Black respondents indicate that they were denied a bank loan at least once when they started their businesses—compared to 37% of non-Black business owners.
