Archwood Community Resource Empowerment Strategy (ACRES) was formed in 2022 to fund the essential work of Archwood Exchange. In addition, ACRES will continue hosting the Buy Black Marketplace in Phoenix, Arizona, which has allowed hundreds of black-owned businesses in the Phoenix area to bring their ideas and products to the market and has helped strengthen and bring people closer together as an inclusive community.

Archwood Exchange identified a critical need to help Black entrepreneurs protect and grow their businesses with financial barriers by providing increased support and resources to our community's underserved Black businesses and organizations. Since the introduction of the Buy Black Marketplace in Phoenix in 2016, over 300 businesses have showcased their products and services at the market, with many becoming household staples.
