Local news needs your support
We are here for you! The Baltimore Times needs your help!
As consequences of COVID-19 affect our community and our world, the importance of our continued connection to reliable information, resources and to one another is more evident then ever before. The Baltimore Times is committed to keeping you connected to local news, updates, stimulating positive features and community engagement as we make our way towards a brighter future together.
Your support comes at a critical time for our operation and helps us keep our reporters working tirelessly covering the impacts of COVID-19 and other news across Maryland. This pandemic has touched the world in ways only previously imagined, including many local businesses like ours. Traditional media advertising and event revenue have plummeted. Independent regional news organizations like The Baltimore Times are fighting to continue to be there for you at full strength — to provide clear, fact-based reporting that can be trusted to bring you timely community information and to connect communities with each other. The shutdown of local businesses has directly impacted revenue we receive in the form of advertising. These are critical sources for our operation.
A number of readers have reached out and asked how they can support The Baltimore Times and our continuing coverage of the coronavirus crisis. We’ve partnered with the Local Media Alliance to give readers and organizations a way to provide direct support of our work.
If you believe local news and information are critical, please consider making a tax-deductible donation to this new fund. Every dollar raised goes directly to the newsroom to support our coronavirus coverage. With your support, we will be able to keep "positive stories, about positive people" coming to you every week.
Thank you for reading our publications over the last 34 years. We welcome your input and story ideas. Please stay safe and healthy.
