The Southeast Idaho Pride Foundation is excited to announce a new program designed specifically to be a place where, when you come out of the closet (literally and figuratively), you are unconditionally celebrated and loved!

Introducing The Closet: Southeast Idaho’s first LGBTQ+ oriented clothing exchange. 🌈

The goal of this program is simple: when members of the community have clothes they don’t wear anymore, need an entirely new wardrobe to match their gender identity, or simply need a few new items to spruce up their already fabulous wardrobe, The Closet is there.

Located in the SEIPF offices in Station Square, The Closet offers a safe and supportive space to explore wardrobe items to match your gender expression. From casual clothing to professional attire, SEIPF is designing a space where anyone can come and explore their style in comfort. You and other members of our community can donate your clothing to The Closet where they will live on. LGBTQ+ community members are then able to take home these gently loved pieces -- for free.

With this amazing idea comes that little hitch: programs like these need community support to begin. That’s why we are asking for your help. Whatever you can donate makes a difference - your own gently loved clothing, supplies to get us started (like clothing racks, displays, steamers, etc.), and funds to help us make this program possible go a long way. Thanks to you and your support, we are excited to create this resource for the community we care so much about.

LGBTQ+ people can have a complicated relationship with closets - so much coming out! Now, you can come out on your terms, on your time, and - most importantly - comfortable in your own skin.
