At The Fibroid Collective we strive for equitable outcomes in health for black women with fibroids.

Research shows that 1 in 4 black women have fibroids. This increases to 2 in 3 women by the age of 35.

Our mission at The Fibroid Collective is to alleviate the burden of black women with fibroids, reduce the disparities in outcomes, and improve medical and public policy awareness on the subject.

We intend to achieve this by:

Amplifying the collective voices of black women with fibroids, their experiences, their challenges, and successes with fibroids to create awareness of how it affects black women.
Creating a sense of urgency around its identification and treatment
Improving medical encounters when presenting with fibroids.
