It Started With 10 Days

The Nurtured Mother Foundation began with a 10-day NICU stay that changed the way I understood motherhood, support, and what it truly means to have a village.

When my son Oliver arrived early, our family entered a world we never expected to be part of. I learned how quickly life can change, how isolating motherhood can feel, and how much the smallest acts of care can mean when a family is walking through something hard.

But I also learned something that has stayed with me ever since:

The need for support doesn't end when a baby leaves the NICU.

That is why The Nurtured Mother Foundation exists.

We are building a village that shows up for families through the NICU and beyond—with practical support, meaningful resources, parent connection, community programs, hospital partnerships, and people willing to step in when families need them most.

Our work is rooted in three promises:

Nurture the Family.
Provide practical support, resources, care, and connection for families navigating the NICU and beyond.

Nurture the Parent.
Create spaces where parents feel seen, supported, connected, and cared for as people—not only as caregivers.

Nurture the Village.
Bring together families, healthcare professionals, businesses, donors, volunteers, and community partners to build a stronger village around the families who need it.

We are just getting started.

The Founding Fund will help build the first year of The Nurtured Mother Foundation—from our first NICU and family-support initiatives to parent resources, community programming, partnerships, outreach, and the infrastructure needed to grow this mission for years to come.
