Over the past three years, I've sat across from hundreds of talented, degreed, experienced immigrant professionals, each story echoing a common theme: incredible talent meeting invisible barriers in the corporate world. As a qualified scientist from Nigeria, even after completing a master's degree in the US, I was repeatedly "rejected" before being given a chance. For various reasons: my foreign name, my "invalid" Nigerian degree, my "lack of US experience," and so many more. And then, after eventually getting the roles I was overqualified for, it was not immediately apparent to me what to do next. How do I advance in this "Corporate American" workplace? Thats is my story and, unfortunately, the same theme I saw reflected in the stories of the hundreds of immigrant professionals I have interviewed, sat on discovery calls with, and worked with over my 16+ years of experience in corporate America. From IT, healthcare, financial industries, education experts, and many more expert professionals.

Our experiences "not translating" to the U.S. market and then getting overlooked and stuck in corporate America because we can't "sell ourselves" in the American way or dont have the connections to get things done in the professional workplace.
