Every Animal Has a Story.

When Midas arrived at The Rescue Crew, he weighed just 40 pounds. Beneath his thick fur was a severely underweight dog who needed more than food. He needed time, patience, and a chance to feel safe again.

With a carefully managed recovery and the love of his foster family, Midas gradually regained his strength and confidence. By late April, he weighed 55 pounds and was beginning a new chapter in his forever home.

Zara's story was very different.

After being hit by a car, she suffered a fractured pelvis and other trauma. She needed eight weeks of strict cage rest to heal—eight long weeks of patience, monitoring, and care at our PURRfect Match Cat Adoption Center.

Today, Zara has recovered beautifully. She's playful, affectionate, and still waiting for the family who will give her the happy ending she deserves.

Two animals. Two very different journeys. And thousands of other stories, each one unique.

Since 2017, The Rescue Crew has welcomed 6,225 dogs and cats into our care. Behind every one is a story of animals who needed someone to say yes—and the volunteers who stepped forward to help.

But when the next animal needs us, we need to be ready to say yes.

That's where you come in.

Your gift this Give to the Max helps provide veterinary treatment, nutritious food, safe foster homes, rehabilitation, and the everyday care that makes these new beginnings possible.

The Rescue Crew is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Minnesota-based animal rescue organization striving to prevent the unnecessary euthanasia of companion animals in need by finding them loving forever homes. We rescue dogs and cats of all sizes, ages, breeds and conditions; with our priority being the most urgent pets in our local shelters - both in the Twin Cities metropolitan area and throughout the entire state of Minnesota - that are facing imminent risk of euthanasia without rescue support.
