The Lending Hand started with a simple idea: neighbors taking care of neighbors.

What began in 2019 with my mom, my sister, and me loading up a pickup truck with Thanksgiving meals has grown into something much bigger than we ever imagined. Today, The Lending Hand brings together local families, businesses, volunteers, and community leaders to support the neighborhoods that helped raise us.

Through our turkey, backpack, and toy drives, we’ve been able to help hundreds of families across Northern Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. But what makes this initiative truly special isn’t just what we give—it’s how many people from the community have stepped up to give alongside us.

The Lending Hand is proof that when good people come together, even a small idea can make a meaningful difference. We’re proud of how far we’ve come, grateful for everyone who has supported us, and excited to continue helping one family at a time.
