Guess who's starting a nonprofit weekly newspaper to uplift and enlighten New Orleans East?! ME! Guess who I'm counting on to help fund it?! YOU! My initial goal is modest. Just enough to get some equipment I'll need so I can populate the site and to also pay for some admin things like securing the 501(c)(3). Once I'm able to do that, I'll get a quick run of copies printed so I can bring them to show potential donors, as a prototype.

Papers are closing every day, and here you are trying to (checks notes) start a whole nonprofit one? How the kids say? "Crazy work."

Why not just, like, make a TikTok or start some other social media thing? You are, after all, an influencer!

I thought you were a journalist. What you know about layout, securing advertisers, graphic design?

OK yeah but there's nothing in the East. My auntie best friend neighbor cousin, she told me to run red lights at night because it's so bad. She moved to Slidell.
