About The Queer Trans Project

The Queer Trans Project, a Black-led and Trans-led initiative, is dedicated to providing free gender-affirming resources that empower queer and trans individuals to live authentically and confidently while driving social change in their communities. Since 2020, we’ve distributed over $1 million worth of life-saving gender-affirming care.

Our work centers around two core programs:

Build-A-Queer Kits

Fully customizable, free gender-affirming kits containing items such as binders, packers, gaffs, breast forms, Gender Grip tape, socks, pride merchandise, stickers, and more. These kits meet people where they are on their journey and ensure that affirming care is accessible to all.

Free Flights for Gender-Affirming Healthcare

We partner with allies to provide free flights for trans and nonbinary people seeking gender-affirming healthcare. This program removes geographic and financial barriers, ensuring individuals can access the care they need.
