Who We Are

We’re Sol and Isa - friends, teammates, and formidable women who know the power of showing up.

Ten years ago our friendship took root in Marin. Since then, we’ve witnessed the spirit and power of Marin in the way it rallies around the people who call it home - at the fields, in schools and through local businesses. We’ve forged deep connections and built a network of strong, independent and inspiring individuals.

Despite all of Marin’s abundant offerings, we both feel strongly that something is missing.

A space to gather, to be surrounded by people who lift one another up and to belong. The Twelfth was born from our passion for women’s sports and unwavering desire to give back to the community we love. We’re building a space we’ve always dreamt of walking into. One created with intention and love, built for joy, and filled with loud and faithful fans.

Welcome to The Twelfth. Marin’s home for women’s sports. A community hub devoted to increasing the visibility and representation of women’s sports.

From the electric, sold-out debut of the Golden State Valkyries to the roaring, thunderous chants at Bay FC games, the energy for women’s sports is undeniable. Alongside the rest of the Bay, we’ve yelled until our voices cracked, high-fived strangers, and stood in awe as history unfolded right in front of us.

Why We’re Here

Right now, across the country, women’s sports are on fire. Stadiums are packed. Records are being shattered. Fans are showing up louder and stronger than ever before. But walk into most bars… Women’s games are still an afterthought. If they’re even on at all. We’re done waiting.

The Twelfth is where women’s sports come first - every day, all year long. Not hidden. Not second string. Center stage. Big screen. Loud and proud. Named after the “twelfth player” - the fans who change everything - The Twelfth is a rallying point. A celebration. A community.

A place where everyone, of every gender and background, feels they have a space to be seen, heard, and part of something bigger.

Pro women’s rugby? Taking off.
2028 LA Olympics? More women athletes than men for the first time ever.

Viewership is skyrocketing.

🏆 The 2023 Women’s World Cup hit a record 1.98 million fans in-stadium and drew 2 billion viewers worldwide.

🥇 In 2024, 34.7 million watched Team USA Gymnastics take gold, and the U.S. vs. Brazil women’s soccer final pulled the highest viewership since 2004.

The momentum is real - but representation still lags. TV rights are still an issue.

Families, young athletes, lifelong fans - we all deserve spaces where women’s sports are normal, celebrated, and loudly visible.
