Laughter is a Serious Business

What happens when a group of military veterans trades their rucksacks for microphones? They discover that humor is one of the most powerful tools for transition, connection, and recovery. At the Veterans of Comedy Foundation, we believe that every service member deserves a chance to find their voice after the uniform comes off. Since we started, we have seen how comedy can bridge the gap between military and civilian life, one laugh at a time.

The Current Stage

Right now, we have a waiting list of veterans ready to step into the spotlight, but our current resources are stretched thin. We are facing a specific set of challenges:

Lack of dedicated workshop space for weekly writing sessions.
Limited funding for travel to bring our comedy sets to rural VA hospitals.
A need for professional recording equipment to help veterans build their portfolios.

Our Vision for the Future

We are launching this campaign to expand our reach and ensure no veteran is left in the silence. Our goal is to create a sustainable pipeline of support that includes:

The Comedy Boot Camp: An intensive 8 week program covering joke structure and stage presence.
The Healing Tour: Taking 12 professional veteran comics to perform at regional military bases.
The Digital Stage: Launching a series of online workshops for those who cannot travel.
