We stand today at a crossroads, facing challenges that have long weighed on the soul of our community. The struggles, the setbacks, the systemic barriers—they are not new. But every era has its defining moment, and this is ours. The political winds shift daily, the rights we once took for granted are now contested, and the moral and spiritual fabric of our society hangs in the balance. In such a time as this, we must ask: will we stand, or will we crumble?

Black people have historically been a deeply spiritual people. That spirituality, strengthened through suffering and faith, has been our anchor. It has been the source of our resilience, the wellspring of our endurance, and the foundation of our survival. But in today’s world, our community faces one of its greatest spiritual crises. Disillusionment replaces hope. Broken promises destroy trust. Our brothers and sisters disintegrate under the weight of neglect, poverty, and societal pressures. And still, the giants of our age—racism, exploitation, systemic injustice—seek to devour us whole.

Together, we’ve walked in the trenches of ministry and service, and we know that our fight is not just against individuals, but against powerful institutions, corrupt systems, and unseen forces that seek to manipulate and control.

These giants are cunning. They exploit fear and division with silent codes of exclusion and laws designed to oppress rather than uplift. They threaten our freedom of conscience. And yet, as overwhelming as these giants may seem, we are not powerless. But we must stop underestimating the resourcefulness of the wicked, or we will continue to be outmaneuvered and outgunned.
