We Are Their Summer Camp

For many children, summer is filled with camps, playgrounds, vacations, and new experiences.

For many of the children served by The Inspired Community Project, summer can mean something very different.

It can mean losing access to therapy. Losing access to specialized childcare. Losing access to behavioral supports, structured learning environments, and the professionals who help them communicate, regulate, learn, and grow.

For working families, it can also mean impossible choices between maintaining employment and caring for a child whose needs are not accommodated by traditional summer programs.

That is why TICP remains open all summer long.

Our classrooms serve children with autism, developmental disabilities, communication delays, ADHD, and other behavioral health needs. Throughout the year, families rely on us for childcare, therapy, family advocacy, and community. During the summer, that need becomes even greater.

This year, we are raising $12,000 to support six classrooms throughout the summer months.

These funds will help provide:

• Behavioral therapists and classroom support staff
• Speech, occupational, and special education services
• Summer learning materials and sensory supports
• Adaptive toys, outdoor play equipment, and enrichment activities
• Family advocacy and caregiver support services
• Safe, inclusive childcare for children who are too often excluded from traditional programs

At TICP, we believe every child deserves access to a summer filled with learning, friendship, exploration, and joy.

We also believe families should never have to choose between earning a paycheck and ensuring their child receives the support they need.

In just over a year, our community has grown from a vision into a thriving center serving more than 100 children and families. We have delivered thousands of hours of therapy and family support while building a model designed by the people most impacted by these systems: families, providers, and advocates.

We are committed to radical transparency. We share our successes, our challenges, our data, and our lessons learned because we believe trust is built through honesty and partnership.

Today, we are asking our community to help us ensure that no child loses access to critical services simply because school is out for the summer.
