Three pounds. Born too soon. Already deeply loved. And now, Baby Leah needs our prayers and support.

Early Tuesday morning, September 1, Patty Rosa was rushed by ambulance from San Jose Succotz to Belize City after dangerously high blood pressure led doctors to diagnose her with preeclampsia. With concerns for both Patty and her baby, doctors determined that an emergency C-section was necessary.

And just like that, sweet Baby Leah entered the world much earlier than anyone expected.

During the pregnancy, Leah had not been growing or receiving the nutrients she needed, and complications with the placenta made an early delivery necessary. Today, Leah weighs approximately 3 pounds and is beginning what doctors expect could be an extended hospital stay as she grows, gains strength, and prepares for the day she can finally go home with Mom and Dad.

For those who know THREE18 and La Paz Camp, Fito and Patty Rosa are family. They faithfully serve as caretakers at La Paz Camp in San Jose Succotz, helping care for the place that welcomes so many of our mission teams and volunteers throughout the year. Now, we have an opportunity to care for them.

The weeks ahead will bring significant expenses for their family, including medical bills, meals, transportation, and the everyday costs of remaining away from home in Belize City while they stay close to their precious little girl.

We are asking our THREE18 family, friends, churches, former team members, and Champions to rally around the Rosasduring this unexpected journey.

Every gift—large or small—will help ease the financial burden so Fito and Patty can focus on what matters most right now: being Mom and Dad to Baby Leah and helping their little girl grow strong enough to come home.

And above everything else, please pray. Pray for Leah to grow stronger every day. Pray for Patty's continued recovery. Pray for Fito as he cares for his family. Pray for wisdom for Leah's doctors and nurses. And pray for peace, strength, and provision throughout the weeks ahead.
