With our own laser engraver ($5,000), we can reach new customers who want customized leather goods with branding and personalization, growing our employment in Kenya. We also need to upgrade our stamping machine ($500) in Kenya to meet the new demand.

We began offering customized leather goods this year and have sold 3,273 individual customized items from May-September 2025 alone. In only 5 months!
These orders made approx 800 hours of employment for the team!
Half of these items were able to be stamped in Kenya, the other half are short-timeline, small-batch orders laser engraved here in Tennessee
We have a generous partner laser engraving these for us at a dramatically discounted rate, but owning our own machine will help us lower costs and grow employment opportunities for local survivors of domestic abuse, as well as help us sell more leather goods from Kenya, growing our impact there.
When we bought a label printer to make candle labels, we immediately doubled our candle sales by being able to offer custom labels. We know that custom goods work!
