Please join us for the 2021 UGA HEROs Torch 5K which will be located at Sandy Creek Nature Center! Check-in for the UGA HEROs Torch 5K will begin at 8:00 am and the event will be hosted 9:00 am-noon on October 17th, 2021(Sunday) and it. Every year, the UGA HEROs Torch 5k gives us the opportunity to foster community, to create memories, and to make an impact in our community with neighbors, friends, and family. With that being said, we hope that you will have the opportunity to attend our event and join us in our mission to invoke change.

Packet pick-up will take place from 4-6pm on Friday, October 15th at Athens Running Company. Stop by to pick up your bib and t-shirt! For those that cannot make it Friday, you can also pick up your packet prior to the race Sunday morning.

HEROs is a student-run organization at UGA which works to improve the quality of life for children affected and infected by HIV/AIDS. Modern medicine allows kids affected or infected by HIV/AIDS to live long lives—HEROs takes it a step further to help these kids live healthy and successful lives.

Our goal is to show kids that no matter their situation, they’re valuable and worthy of love just like anyone else. We do this by organizing over 2,000 students on campus, coordinating fundraising efforts, and working to forge relationships with corporate and community partners with a common goal in mind.
