Touchstone is not only a place to learn new skills, but a place to slow down, focus, and reconnect creatively. This fund helps make that experience accessible to people who otherwise might not be able to participate.

What Gifts do NOW

The Creative Opportunity Fund provides up to $50,000 annually to support:

Scholarships for emerging artists and teens
Residencies for artists
Internships for students pursuing careers in arts administration

How much we raise will directly determine how many opportunities we can offer. Every gift helps unlock real access to creative learning and creative well‑being.

A Personal Note

As both an artist and Touchstone’s new Development Director, this fund is deeply personal to me.

As a fiber artist, I know how transformative access to creative space, time, and community can be. I create felted wool pieces inspired by animals and landscapes, so being at Touchstone—where art and nature come together in the Laurel Highlands—feels like a perfect fit.
