A Day to Remember… Come Along for the Ride! 🚌✨

Your special Ladies Only day begins at 10:00 AM, when a custom-wrapped “The Loggerhead Express” or “The Monarch Express” vintage trolley arrives to whisk you away for a day filled with history, poetry, art, great food, shopping, and a few delightful surprises along the way.

Book your tickets here:

And yes… the trolley itself is part of the experience! Its one-of-a-kind wrap is inspired by an original painting by local artist Mira Scott. MiraMiraStudio.com

First Stop: History Comes Alive

Our first adventure takes us to Historic Mitchelville Freedom Park, the site of the first self-governing town established by formerly enslaved people in the United States. Here, we’ll learn about the remarkable people who created Mitchelville and the resilience, vision, and courage that shaped this important chapter of American history. And just when you think you’re simply taking a history lesson… a reenactor will bring the story to life! exploremitchelville.org

But there’s more! Mitchelville is also a stop along the Hilton Head Island Poetry Trail—the first of its kind in South Carolina. Poet Elizabeth Robin will share a poem with you, adding a little poetry to our journey. And because every adventure needs a few goodies, you’ll leave Mitchelville with a swag bag filled with treats and surprises. 🎁 culturehhi.org/portfolio/poetry-trail/

Then… Let’s Eat!

Back aboard the trolley, we’ll head off to a very special luncheon prepared especially for us by Charlie’s L’Étoile Verte. Known for fresh local seafood with a delicious French Lowcountry flair, Charlie’s is all about good food, good wine, and unforgettable memories in a charming French-country atmosphere. charliesgreenstar.com

And You Thought Lunch Was Dessert…

Think again! Award-winning pastry chef Philippe Feret, of Hilton Head Social Bakery, will be preparing petite pastries especially for us. Philippe’s impressive career includes serving as pastry chef at the world-renowned Taillevent in Paris, helping reopen Windows on the World in New York City, and later serving as executive chef at Tavern on the Green. So yes… save room for dessert. 🍰 hiltonheadsocialbakery.com

Champagne, Art & A Little Shopping

After lunch, we’ll take a leisurely stroll to Nash Gallery, where champagne awaits! Family-owned since 1989, Nash Gallery features a beautifully curated collection of North American fine craft. Wander, browse, discover something unexpected—and perhaps find that perfect little treasure you simply must take home. nashgallery.com

One More Stop… Because We’re Not Done Yet! Our final adventure takes us to The Village at Wexford, where more than 30 distinctive merchants, restaurants, specialty shops, and pampering services await. It’s the perfect place to wander, browse, shop, and soak up a little Hilton Head charm before our day comes to an end. villageatwexford.com

Back Where We Started

Around 4:00 PM, the trolley will return you to our original pickup location. Six hours. One fabulous trolley. History. Poetry. Art. Champagne. Shopping. A reenactor. Petite pastries. A delicious French-inspired lunch. Swag bags. And plenty of opportunities to make a few wonderful memories along the way.

In other words… this is not your ordinary day trip.

Hop aboard. Come curious. Leave inspired.
And whatever you do, don’t miss the trolley! 🚌✨
