This year’s Performance Courtyard is more than a stage—it’s a space for reflection, resistance, and rhythm. Thoughtfully designed by Hayat and produced in collaboration with Nahr Events, this open-air sanctuary blends sound, storytelling, and rest.

Diaspora Peoples Place is a non-profit whose mission is to empower diaspora creatives + entrepreneurs by hosting decolonized community events. Ticket sales and donations benefit the Diaspora Peoples Place Empowerment Fund, which provides microgrants to independent entrepreneurs and creatives. These grants offer critical support to help people in communities that are often overlooked by traditional funding grow their businesses, launch new projects, and sustain their creative work . By investing directly in grassroots talent, we’re helping to build stronger, more self-sufficient, and vibrant diaspora communities.
